Old Mission Peninsula is known for its beautiful views, incredible beaches, tasty wineries, and so much more. Curtis and Alisa previously traveled to Traverse City on vacation and loved Old Mission Peninsula, that is why they jumped at the chance to have their engagement pictures done there. They drove up from Detroit area and we met up with them in the evening and went straight to Chateau Chantal.
The views at Chateau Chantal are absolutely striking and the wine is delicious. Curtis and Alisa grabbed a couple of wines as to enjoy as we walked around the property and began their engagement session. Their outfits worked perfectly with the greens of the grape vines and the reds of the geranium plants. After strolling around for a bit we drove off to the next stop–a cherry orchard!
The cherries were a few days out from being harvested, but were pretty much rip for the picking! Not only was the orchard beautiful but the light beaming in was stunning! We picked a few cherries off to use as a ring shot, taste, and then it was on to the next location. We arrived at Old Mission Lighthouse as the sun was going down behind Leelanau Peninsula. A quick outfit change later had Curtis & Alisa looking even cuter than before! We walked around the lighthouse before heading off to the beach. For being a beautiful summer night the lakeshore was surprisingly quiet. The sun soaked the beach in the most heavenly golden hour light, it was an amazing.
We had such a great time exploring the peninsula and hanging out with such a wonderful couple. It was easy for us to capture their love because it beamed out of them. We can hardly wait to photograph their wedding next year in the Detroit area. Thanks again to Alisa and Curtis for a fun and beautiful adventure. Enjoy!
Oh my gosh, I love this image below that Alex captured! It is incredible!
