Wednesday is a day most associated with getting over the hump of the work week–but for Heatherlynn & Robert it was the day they picked for their wedding. They chose it because Heatherlynn’s parents & grandparents anniversary was on that same date. So as different as it seemed getting married on a Wednesday, it was extremely special for the couple.
Heatherlynn & Robert both got ready in the huge penthouse suite of the historic Landmark Inn. The rain was falling softly outside as their families started to gather at the hotel. Robert & his best man headed off early to the church to finish setting up. Heatherlynn, Robert’s daughters, and the maid of honor finished up at the hotel and then made their way to the church as well.
The church became filled with music as Heatherlynn made her was down to her soon-to-be husband. Their intimate ceremony was brief, but so beautiful. Their family clapped with joy as they were pronounced husband and wife.
Afterward the bridal party walked to the library across the street from the Landmark Inn. The tree coverage provided a little relief from the rain as it came down. The happy couple didn’t seem to care at all though–they were blissfully in their own happy world. The newlyweds also made their way down to lower harbor for a few more pictures as their guests enjoyed cocktails in the Sky Room in the Landmark Inn.
Once back at the hotel they made their entrance into their reception. The cake was cut, glasses were raised, and the food was brought out. It was a great way to enjoy a Wednesday evening. Huge congrats again to Heatherlynn and Robert on their beautiful rainy fall wedding in Marquette. We absolutely loved photographing their intimate wedding. Enjoy!
